Performance of monolithic and dry joints with GFRP bolts reinforced with different fibres and GFRP bars under impact loading

This study investigates the performance of monolithic and newly proposed dry beam-column joints using GFRP bolts, reinforcements, different types fibres subjected to pendulum impact. Six specimens were cast tested with increasing impact velocity until failure. The experimental results have shown that concrete joint reinforced bars showed better behaviour in terms energy dissipation (up 51%), reduced damage level, maximum residual displacement as compared reinforcements. test suggested steel bolts reinforcements could be effectively replaced by mitigate corrosion problem while still satisfy design requirements for both strength ductility. Furthermore, use (StFs) demonstrated impressive critical indices such level at high energies, synthetic (SyFs). Meanwhile, application SyFs led greater than StFs (between 6 30%). potentially applied practice reduce construction costs damaged/deteriorated components would easily replaced.
